About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat between three people who kept sending each other screenshots at midnight. At some point we realised we had opinions worth writing down, so we built a small site to do exactly that. No press junkets, no borrowed marketing copy — just games we've held in our hands.
We pick titles based on what people are actually downloading and what we're personally curious about. Sometimes that's a big-budget RPG, sometimes it's a weird little racing game nobody talks about. If it runs on a phone and we can form an honest opinion, it's fair game.,Every review goes through the same routine. We play for at least a few evenings, watch how the battery holds up, poke at the settings menu, and pay attention to whether the controls feel right on a touchscreen. Then one of us writes it up and another one reads it back to make sure it isn't nonsense.,We're not here to sell anything. Ratings are our own, and we'll happily say when a game bored us. The point is that you trust the verdict enough to save a download — or skip one.
