Neon Drift League

Neon Drift League is pure arcade fun. Tracks are short, drifts are forgiving, and the sense of speed is genuinely good on a phone. You can steer by tilting the device or with on-screen buttons, and after trying both I settled on buttons — the tilt is fine but drifts round tight corners with more precision when you tap.

The customisation is light and the AI opponents can be a bit predictable, but the moment-to-moment racing carries it. This is a battery warning game: full graphics with the framerate uncapped drains fast and heats the device, so I dropped to medium settings and it stayed comfortable.

It's not a serious racer, and it doesn't want to be. As a five-minutes-at-the-bus-stop game it delivers every time.
